About Sherry

I'm Sherry, and I will be graduating from UofT Engineering in May 2022 before starting a Ph.D. at Cornell ORIE in September. My standardized test scores are 336/340 GRE and 2300/2400 SAT. During undergrad, I have maintained an excellent academic record in courses such as Calculus I-III, statistics, probability, linear algebra, and programming / machine learning. In high school, I maintained a 98% average, as well as worked part-time at Kumon for 2 years and did some private tutoring during that time. During this transitional summer in Vancouver, I am looking to gain more tutoring experience over the summer to prepare for becoming a TA in the fall. I am very flexible with remote work, as well as in-person tutoring in Vancouver, BC!

About the lesson

I would be most suitable for teaching grades 9-12 as well as first to second year university students. As a recent graduate, I am able to explain course concepts in a very approachable, direct manner that is easy for students to digest and create a lesson plan that is customized to each student's needs and academic goals. I have a high degree of familiarity with both high school and university math and computer science curriculum, and will be able to target core concepts.
