About Emile
I'm an orchestra conductor, a café-lover and an enthusiast of trivia nights. I completed two Master's degrees in Conducting, from the Haute École de musique in Geneva and from the University of Toronto, as well as a Bachelor of Instrumental Composition from the University of Montreal. I love sharing my passion and helping people gain a better understanding of the music they're playing and/or listening to.

To me, learning music theory allows you to understand WHY music can be so moving, and get a better appreciation of any piece. My lessons are organized around your goals – whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student. If you need help with a class, or you're learning just for fun, I will happily adapt to get you where you want in your music theory level. I specialize in classical music theory, using fixed Do for solfege. I teach in both English and French, with visual and audio musical examples.
