About Mark

What makes me a good tutor?
I'm older (retired) and hopefully wiser!.
The school year does not allow time for consolidation and creates fundamental gaps which demotivate students. My style is to help identify and plug these gaps through one on one assistance. . As a student I struggled with Maths. Through persistence and additional help I progressed comfortably to a level of university maths required for my honors degree in Physics. I have used these experiences to develop this "plugging the gaps" approach. Always at the students speed.

About the lesson

I have an Honors degree in Physics which includes two years of University level mathematics. My tutoring style is based on identifying ,(with the student), the fundamental obstacles to progress and supplying help on resolving these issues i believe Maths is a language and familiarity with the vocabulary is vital for progress.

My lesson are typically around an hour (which time passes very quickly when you're having fun!)

My repertoire includes teaching maths at secondary school and university foundation levels. My current focus is tutoring as a hobby at secondary school levels to students and / or adult learners.
