About Quinn
You might think that playing fast is the goal of every guitar player. Actually, control over your strumming patterns and rhythm is what separates the novices from the pros. My 13 years of experience taught me that technique is just a tool for expression.
We conduct a diagnostic skills check before we build your lesson plan so we do not repeat what you already know. Acoustic and electric technique require different approaches, and I show you how to manage both. Maintenance and tuning are not chores, they are the foundation of a good sound.
I teach you how to improvise by listening to the pulse of the music. It is a steady process of building your confidence on the fretboard.

Dusty electric guitars and the smell of old maple wood are my constant companions. 13 years of experience have made my hands tough and my ears sharp. I have taught 136 students ranging from teens to hobbyists. My background is rooted in the gritty folk styles of Quebec.
I prefer the direct feedback of a live performance to the silence of a studio. Working with intermediate learners who want to find their own groove is where I shine. These days, I enjoy helping people find a sound that is truly their own. It is a pleasure to share what I have picked up from years on the road.
