Sonke is a reliable teacher who is always ready for the lesson. His professional attitude makes me feel confident that I receive the best possible knowledge. However, being flexible and fun he makes every lesson an unforgettable experience. He helped me to go through very advanced technical vocabulary in the yachts industry. I recommend Sonke to everyone who is serious about their business language.
Sönke is an extremely likable and personable man. He is always smartly dressed and punctual. When he arrives, he is in a good mood and always well prepared for our lesson. Our lessons are very enjoyable and Sönke finds great ways to engage with me. He doesn't take himself too seriously which I love. If he is prepared to laugh at himself then you don't feel embarrassed about making a mistake as you try to learn. Putting people at ease is such a talent to have and he has it in abundance. He seems to have a multitude of tricks up his sleeve for teaching and utilises many types of media to assist. There are video clips, sound bites, written documents, pictures, cartoons and fun games. I really look forward to our lessons.
Sönke has built both my German language skills and my confidence to use them. His flexible approach keeps you engaged while keeping an eye on the end goal. For me that was to simply converse in German while there on business and holiday. Quickly we got to a stage where I was studying for a Goethe Institut certificate (the German equivalent of the British Council). His ability to deliver face-2-face and virtual lessons helped considerably during the March snow. I would highly recommend Sönke as a German tutor.
