About Sasha
Hi there,
I am Sasha a Pre-service Teacher currently studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education (Science major, HASSE minor) at the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle, Western Australia (Having also completed one year of a Bachelor of Behavioural Science). My speciality in teaching is Human Biology and Biology. I have chosen Science as my major at university as I have always been passionate about everything Biology.
As a dedicated and engaging tutor, I endeavour towards assisting students to achieve improved results and maximise their potential.
Why I chose to study teaching:
My Career aspiration as a teacher is to be a supportive and important figure in students' lives during such a pivotal time of their development. I have always had an affinity for helping and supporting others. Teaching is a way that I can support and inspire younger generations to pursue their goals and dreams, as well as be a steady support figure for them in a time that can be quite unnerving and uncertain.

How I approach tutoring:
- Work through information and resources at the pace you desire.
- Utilise different study skill tactics to work on information consolidation and recall. Particularly the ones that I use myself to study e.g. using a whiteboard, posters, flashcards, diagrams and quizzes.
- Go through past exams and test papers for practice questions.
- Explain concepts in new ways, particularly with visual aids and anecdotes.
- Help with breaking down questions and essay writing.
I specialise in tutoring Literature, Biology, Human Biology and Visual Arts.
I understand learning new concepts can be unnerving and scary, so we can work together to figure out a style of learning that works for you. I also understand the pressures and stresses that come with both school and extracurricular activities, so I will help to guide you in a way to be organised and time efficient in the way that you study. As I myself have had the experience of trying to juggle both full-time Ballet training and School. Moreover, having graduated from school during the first year of COVID-19. I learned to create methods of maintaining interest in learning, ways to keep myself organised, as well as methods to cope with much uncertainty and keep the focus on academic goals.
