About Nina
I’m a dedicated French Immersion Grade 11 student who always challenges myself academically and enjoys helping others understand what they’re learning. I have taken Advanced Biology and am currently taking Advanced English and Chemistry, with plans to take AP Biology and AP English in Grade 12. I was also shortlisted for the John Locke Institute Global Essay Prize for my Politics essay, in a competition with 100,000+ students worldwide. These experiences have strengthened my research, writing, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, which I bring into my tutoring. I’m approachable, patient, and committed to helping students build both their understanding and confidence.

I’m a high school student myself, so I understand how frustrating it can be when a subject feels confusing or overwhelming. I offer personalized lessons in science, English, and French for students in Grade 10 and under, adapting each lesson to the student’s level, learning style, and goals. I focus on making difficult concepts easier to understand through clear explanations, examples, practice, and patience. Rather than simply giving students answers, I help them understand why something works so they can become more confident and independent learners. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and genuinely improve.
