About Devika

I am a lifelong learner, researcher, educator, as well as a homeschooling parent. I bring together my academic expertise, teaching experience, and personal parenting insights to create meaningful, curiosity-driven learning pathways for students and their families. Science is not something to be memorized but experienced. It should help us connect with systems and real-world implications – I am not talking about developing innovative or advanced scientific machines or processes; regardless of a kid's interest in science, history, or art, I believe that all of them must be aware of the world around them. In parallel to my tutoring for students, I also conduct classes for parents, wherein I equip them with tools to nurture scientific and holistic thinking in their kids.

About the lesson

I don’t teach facts—I cultivate curiosity. I teach how to think like a scientist—with stories, songs, and real-life scenarios that spark curiosity. Whether we’re exploring cells or climate, I can start where the child is, not where the textbook begins. My method blends 20+ years of research with a child’s-eye view of the world. It’s rigorous, yes—but also joyful, ethical, and deeply human. My goal isn’t just to teach science, but to spark inquiry, ethical reflection, and systems thinking.
