About Mark
Have over forty years playing experience. I started when I was 12. I am self-taught, play many different styles, and have also studied chord theory for guitar. Have been involved with many musical endeavours (recordings and live bands) over the years. Most recently worked with the Alcorn Music Studio's Jam Band program. Which was fun for me and gave me an opportunity to support other musicians. I find the guitar to be an extremely versatile instrument that offers so many playing styles and approaches. And even after all these years, it's still fun!

Personal observation has taught me that it is most beneficial to balance the challenge of learning an instrument with an element of fun. So I find it advantageous to set realistic attainable goals. I believe this serves to keep one challenged enough but not deterred. I will be sharing fundamental exercises as well to train their ear and induce muscle memory. The use of basic music and chord theory will be implemented so that students will not only know how to play but also what they are playing. This will provide insight as we eventually explore the entire length of the fret board.
