About Ashleigh
I am a seasoned ICU nurse who has been practicing for the last 18 years my range of experience is in medical/surgical, neuro/trauma, burns, spines, transplant and wound care. More recently my scope has explored the complexity of mental health. Supporting clients through their healing journeys, I’m beginning to better appreciate the effects of our behaviours, emotions and actions on how we view ourselves and our health.
I love how the body works and appreciate the intricate balance which is required for it to heal. My passion for teaching only fuelled my interest in the profession, as a result I can go back to the basics and teach about social determinants and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. I love all things nursing and my teaching reflects this passion.
