About Albert
I am a current second year studying cell and molecular biology at Northeastern University with a minor in music. Outside of academics, I am part of the Northeastern Symphony Orchestra (NUSO) as well as part of the Eboard as the winds librarian. I am also an avid tennis player/fan and a former competitive swimmer. In the winter I like alpine skiing.
During high school I tutored several students across many grade levels in mathematics. My goal with teaching and tutoring is to help students improve academically and help build their own confidence. It is rewarding to me to watch them grow as a person and trust their own abilities and feel satisfied about tackling what used to be challenging. I hope to also build a connection with them on a personal level and allow them to feel comfortable during the sessions.

During a typical lesson, I will take some time to chat with the student, as them where they need help and what I could do to guide them.
After identifying the challenging spot, I will explain the material in a way that would help them learn and understand the concept better.
Following, I would create or find practice material to help them further apply their knowledge and retain what we did during the session.
I hope to create an atmosphere where the student feels safe and does not have to worry about judgment. One where they can discuss anything they want to and ask any questions they have and feel comfortable doing it.
