About George
Going through GCSEs and A levels myself, I sometimes found that the materials available were all quite similar and failed to offer different styles of explanation and teaching, something I believe myself and others would have benefitted from. In tutoring, I intend to provide this different style of learning, and to help the student by approaching the material from a different angle which suits their style of learning better.

I will take a flexible approach, led by the students’ own styles of learning, and get to know their specific strengths and weaknesses in the subject so we can focus on the right areas, rather than being prescriptive.
As an engineering student, I can motivate students by occasionally giving them a little background of some the real life applications of their work, which I believe helps them to enjoy the work they are doing and not just view it through the lens of maximising exam marks.
However, as I completed my A levels in 2022, gaining 4 A*s, I am very familiar with how to do well in an exam setting, and with the difficulties of these exam periods for students.
