About Raisa

Want an A-A* in Maths? Maths is a subject that yields great results with consistent effort - I learnt this as I went from a Grade 5 to a Grade 9 in my GCSE. I also achieved an A grade in A-Level Mathematics and have a track record of boosting grades really fast - not only can I help you with what to learn, but also how to improve your grades fast with key areas of focus. Getting high scores can take a lot of time, and sometimes having experience and tricks up your sleeve help speed up the process. I feel I learnt so much from my personal experience and journey through Maths GCSE and A-Level - I'd be more than happy to share my experiences with a student who would benefit greatly from it. I can also help keep you accountable and on top of your studies.

About the lesson

The first few lessons will consist of 1) a mix of exam style questions from different topics to help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and 2) a self-reflection on topics you find more/less difficult or need explanation and guidance with. I did my GCSE with Edexcel but I'm more than willing to do my research for students doing a different exam board. Lessons will be delivered and structured to be exam board specific. Together we will develop a step-by-step plan for improvement and set deadlines for these steps if that helps pace the process e.g. mastering a certain topic, or learning how to utilise your working out to gain maximum marks. I will be here to support you every step of the way so feel free to ask questions and I will provide relevant guidance/resources to help!
