About Justine

To be able to learn is a privilege and to be able to teach and impart knowledge to others is a rewarding and fun experience like no other. Teaching is something that I find enjoyable, but also mentally stimulating and I truly put my all into the services I offer to my students.

About the lesson

In relation to qualifications, I achieved 3 As at A-level in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. At GCSEs, I achieved 9 A*s and 1 A. My lessons are aimed at students studying for their GCSEs. The typical length of a lesson is around an hour. My main techniques for my lessons are: - Explaining information elaborately and then allowing/helping the student to condense this into a way that is easier to understand and revise from. - Using diagrams and short clips to give context to the information and allow the student to visualise what they are learning. - Active recall throughout the lesson to pinpoint progress. - But very importantly, the proportion of content learning and exam practice will be tailored to the needs and level of the student. On top of this, I provide a generous question bank full of past/example questions, some of which I assign to students to answer and otherwise, they can use this for further independent study.

Justine is great tutor and gives really good tips and tricks to help with exam technique and in helping me understand more about biology. She explains hard concepts quite easily and make its easier to understand. She’s very chill and easy to talk so it doesn’t really feel like a formal lesson which makes thing so much easier when learning. 10/10 tutor and would definitely recommend.
