About Simon
I am currently a second year medical student. I have been teaching English online for approximately 1.5 years. Prior to this, I spent time in Japan as an English teacher. I mainly taught adults looking to improve their English for promotions and also for personal reasons, such as wanting to travel. Other students included high school students who were looking to pass English competency languages such as IELTS. This is currently my 3rd degree, and while completing my previous 2, I was tutoring Mathematics and English.

Learning should be fun, engaging, and student orientated. I have looked at the reasons as to why a student wants to learn a particular thing and changed my methods to cater to their needs and goals. I try to include some challenges for the students, to show them their true capabilities and to ensure they can see their own improvements, which I find also motivates them. As someone who is currently learning Russian, I know the importance of constantly seeing improvements to keep myself motivated
