About Kyla
I am a second year psychology student studying at the University of Cape Town who matriculated through the IEB system in 2022. I achieved 4 distinctions in my final year of high school and maintained an excellent academic record throughout my high-school career. I received full academic colours in matric and was awarded a certificate of excellence in Afrikaans. Having recently undergone high school, I have a thorough understanding for the demands and skills required to excel in this sphere and am able to pass on the tools that I believe were pivotal to my own academic success. I am very patient and understanding and pride myself in my ability to convey complex concepts in an a manner that is easy to grasp so that students can feel empowered in their learning.

My lessons are tailored for high school students specifically study through the IEB system and aim to strengthen understanding for critical concepts and develop reliable frameworks for students to apply in exam and assessment settings to better improve grades and general academic confidence and performance. I use study techniques that are easy to understand and helped me achieve distinctions in my own studies. My lessons are aimed at developing long term skills for students to use throughout high school and are adapted to individual preferences.
