About Marina

I taught English at a large state school in North London for 14 years and am currently employed at a small independent school in Berkshire where I have been for the last 9 years. I am constantly inspired by my students and motivated to make my lessons interesting and enjoyable. I feel I was born to teach and I am as excited about each lesson today as I was when I first started teaching!

About the lesson

I am a dedicated and passionate teacher who loves to see my students build their confidence and make tangible progress. I think it is important to build a good rapport and I have received a lot of positive feedback from students over the years, often commenting on the fact that my lessons are fun and interactive. A typical lesson would be an hour and tailored to the needs of the individual. Outside of school, I have recently taught English to a Spanish student who is new to English. My experience is with 11-16 year olds but I would be happy to teach adults or younger children too.
