About Ailis

Hi! My name is Ailís Fitzgerald and I am a Gaeilge and Geography graduate of the University of Galway, where I completed a Level 8 Bachelor of Arts degree and achieved a 2:1 overall.
I have strong experience in both learning and teaching Irish through real-life immersion. I spent three months in a Gaeltacht area, which greatly improved my fluency, confidence and understanding of everyday spoken Irish. I also completed a three-month teaching placement in a Gaelscoil, gaining valuable classroom experience working with students in an Irish-speaking environment.
I am currently in my first year of the PME (Professional Master of Education) at the University of Galway, training to become a secondary school teacher.

About the lesson

My aim is to make students feel confident, supported and well-prepared for exams. I teach in a clear and structured way, but I always adapt lessons to suit each student’s learning style and goals. I focus on building strong foundations first, and then improving exam technique and results over time.
