About Melantha
Hello! I'm a Year 8 teacher who believes in making learning enjoyable for students with different learning needs. While I specialize in teaching math, I also cover humanities and PE. Outside the classroom, you'll find me indulging in my hobbies like basketball, music, and camping.
In my teaching approach, I strive to keep things interesting and engaging without overwhelming students with stress. I create a relaxed atmosphere where learning feels natural and enjoyable.

I teach by fostering a strong student-teacher relationship to teach students the way they love to learn. I focus on understanding, not memorising.
Lessons are typically 1 hour long with a short break included, focusing on any areas of concern for the student. I am able to set pace and complete lessons as school teaches it and motivate students through their homework, or extend them to work ahead of the school curriculum to be ahead of the class
My lessons would primarily suit year 7 and year 8 students, but I can also accommodate Year 6 and Year 9 level work for differentiation/extension.

Details
$50 per hour for home visits between Narre Warren and Pakenham.
$40 per hour for webcam lessons.
1 hour lessons. Including tiny brain breaks in between depending on the student.
May go over by 10 mins depending on student engagement.
Open for 1.5 to 2 hour lessons too.
