About Kaptein

About Me Hi! My name is Kaptein, and I’m a Grade 11 student who loves helping younger kids learn and feel confident about school. I’ve always enjoyed explaining things to friends and classmates, and I realized I’m pretty good at making tricky topics easier to understand. When I’m not studying, you’ll probably find me reading, solving puzzles, or playing sports. I’m patient, positive, and I believe learning should be fun, not stressful. My goal is to help every student I teach feel proud of themselves and ready to take on any challenge. I know what it’s like to struggle with a subject, so I make sure to explain things in a way that makes sense for you. Every student learns differently, and I’m here to make sure you get the support they need, at their pace.

About the lesson

My Teaching Methodology & Techniques
I enjoy making learning fun and easy to understand. I use real-life examples so kids can connect schoolwork to things they already know. I break large topics into smaller, simpler steps, and I frequently check to ensure the student understands before moving on. I also incorporate drawings, games, and short quizzes to keep things engaging and interactive.

A Typical Lesson Plan

Warm-up (5 min) – Quick review of last lesson or a fun brain teaser.

New Topic (15–20 min) – Explain the lesson step-by-step with examples.

Practice (15–20 min) – Guided exercises, with hints and feedback as needed.

Wrap-up (5 min) – Recap what we learned and give a small “home challenge” for next time.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
I’m close in age to the kids I teach, so I understand how they think and what makes learning boring—or exciting. I know the school system and the common struggles students face. I’m patient, positive, and I make sure each student feels confident instead of stressed.

Who the Lessons Are For
My lessons are designed for kindergarten - grade 3 children who need extra support with French. I can work with kids who are shy, those who learn faster or slower than average, and children who simply need someone to explain concepts in a different way than their classroom teacher.
