About Ally
I am a secondary school student offering online private maths lessons to kids studying for their junior cert or equivalent exams. I am familiar with the stress and frustration having to learn during the pandemic can cause and have experience giving maths lessons to younger siblings and friends for free in the past.
I also took part in an early entrance university level engineering course for two semesters.

My teaching method is primarily topic by topic, and I focus on teaching one method of approaching a question but am also open to teaching a different method if the first is difficult for the student to understand. I also typically tutor topic by topic as this helps minimise the potential for confusion when approaching and learning about a topic in maths.
I'm happy to help kids prepare for intimidating exams or even get through homework if it is something that they are struggling with.
I'm patient with younger kids, and understand from experience that not all teaching methods suit an individual, which is why I offer a first lesson for free so that the child can decide whether the way I teach is suited to their unique needs.
