About Maxfield

As a professional language teacher for over 5 years, I have seen what struggles students of all ages undergo when trying to learn a foreign language. I've been learning myself for over 15 years, so I am very familiar with the learning process and will provide you with the insight you need when you begin to have doubts about whether you will ever get fluent or not. I will always be here to support you and will do my best to answer any questions you have and find out the answer if I don't know myself. I am here to empower you to take control of your language learning, and in a way, your life!

About the lesson

We are overwhelmed by information in today's digital age. When trying to learn a new language, it can be overwhelming to search for the best program for your personal needs and goals.

I am here to teach you how to find the information you need to get started learning, along with the software available for you to study with. I will introduce you to websites that offer introductory courses for your language, which you will be able to go through at your own pace. I will show you how to utilize AI as your own personal coach that you can ask questions to when you don't understand something in the authentic content you will be studying from.

Speaking of authentic content, because of the widespread availability of websites such as YouTube, there is software that allows you to easily create digital multimedia flashcards from whatever online material you can find in your target language.

I will get you set up with all of this and provide ongoing support and structure for your studies, regardless of the language you are learning (although I can provide the most help in Japanese and Korean as those are the two that I have the most experience learning.)
