About Amaury
I'm Amaury, a self-taught pianist based in Montreal. In just three years, I went from zero to being able to play any song by ear — and I believe anyone can do the same with the right mindset and structure. My teaching style is both rigorous and relaxed: I focus on steady progress, but always with a fun, curiosity-driven approach. I’m passionate about helping people connect deeply with music, and I take pride in creating lessons that are motivating, personalized, and encouraging. Piano changed my life — and now I want to help others discover the same joy.

Hi! I’m a passionate self-taught pianist who started playing just 3 years ago — and today, I can instantly recognize and play almost any song by ear.
I’ve built a highly structured method that combines three pillars:
Solid technique
Progressive ear training
Fun and personal connection to the music you love
This is not a classical piano course. If your dream is to play Beethoven with sheet music, this might not be for you.
But if you’ve always wanted to play your favorite songs by ear, without relying on scores, and build a deep connection to music — welcome!
What a typical lesson looks like:
– Short warm-up focused on technique and finger strength
- Technique Development
– Ear training games based on intervals, chords and melodies
– Application to a real song you love (you pick the track!)
– Music theory explained only when relevant
My teaching is perfect for beginners to intermediate players, aged 15 and up, who are curious, motivated, and willing to put in consistent effort. You don’t need prior experience — just the desire to learn and have fun while doing it (and yes, a bit of discipline). Lessons can be in french or english.
