My Approach as a Tutor
Teaching Method and Techniques
I specialize in the Demidov Technique, a unique and progressive approach rooted in the Russian school of acting. Unlike traditional methods that rely on "doing" or "forcing" emotion, my method focuses on creative spontaneity and "non-interference." I teach you how to trust your instincts, allowing the character to live through you naturally. This is especially effective for film and TV, where the camera detects even the slightest hint of "acting."
A Typical Lesson Plan
Every session is tailored to your current needs, but a standard 60-minute intensive includes:
Creative Warm-up: Exercises to achieve a state of "creative calm" and openness.
Demidov Etudes: Working with "living" through a situation rather than just performing it.
Script Analysis & Text Work: Diving deep into the subtext of your scenes.
On-Camera Practice/Self-Tape Coaching: Recording your performance with professional feedback to ensure it translates perfectly to the screen.
