About Hélène
Passionate about the arts, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Modern Literature and Cinema from Paris III Sorbonne Nouvelle (2011) and a bachelor’s degree in Music and Drama from Paris VIII (2013). In 2013, I joined the prestigious Choeur d'adultes de la Maîtrise Notre-Dame de Paris as a soprano. In August 2016, I performed three roles in Henry Purcell's Dido and Aeneas during the early music festival Le Temps Suspendu. I completed a master's degree in Singing Performance at the Université de Montréal (2019), and I'm currently pursuing a Doctorate in Performance with teachers Rosemarie Landry and Catherine Sévigny. Under the direction of Luc Beauséjour, I have performed the role of ‘Diane’ in Charpentier's Actéon (2017) as well as various other soprano roles in Purcell's The Fairy Queen (2018). In 2019, with friends, I founded the baroque vocal and instrumental ensemble Lumaire, which recently performed for the first time in Montréal on March 8th with their “Mosaique vénitienne: Monteverdi, Cavalli, Grandi” program.
