About Cristina

I'm not the classic Italian teacher, and I'm proud of it. My non-linear path makes me a rich human being, a prof. unique and original.
My classical studies (Latin, Greek, philosophy) gave me the first and fundamental imprinting; the passion for acting, studies and work in theater and dance have made me a creative, flexible, full, sensitive woman, attentive to feelings, who reads and lets herself be read through all the signs of the body (I also work a lot on intonation and proxemics). At 34 I enrolled in the Bachelor's and Master's Degree course in Oriental Languages and Civilizations (Chinese / English / Hindi), and at 39 I moved to Beijing to teach Italian language and culture. Today, at the age of 45, I recently obtained a Master's degree in Specialized Publishing Translation.
I have been doing this job for almost ten years, having always worked with students, children and adults as a teacher, linguistic and cultural mediator. Not only am I highly qualified, but I have the human skills to do it. It is never too late to do anything in life, and I am an example. I always motivate my students, and I encourage them to move forward and never give up, especially in the face of difficulties.

About the lesson

I have been teaching Italian language and culture, in Italy and China, for almost ten years. I use the humanistic-affective and communicative approaches to ensure that the student is at ease, and that he / she acquires the ability to know how to use the language right away.
My first motto is: "Making mistakes you learn"; in fact, I give a lot of importance to error as a precious moment of acquisition and learning.
I plan tailor-made lessons, suited to the different needs, needs and objectives of individual students, with whom I discuss and decide together the best path.
My previous career in theater makes my lessons always very dynamic and fun.
As a graduate in languages (English and Mandarin Chinese) I know perfectly well the mechanisms underlying the learning process of a new language and I use the interlingual comparison as a tool to better understand the internal mechanisms of the language.
