About Tom
I am a student in central London studying Ethnomusicology. My course is very Anthropologically based, which I love, as I find social history and culture fascinating; especially when surrounding music! Having my skateboard, almost always, is great for getting around London and the occasional study break. I have been skating since I was six and have loved it as a sport and a social space throughout growing up. The freedom it gives is irreplaceable, and offers a community of all backgrounds, which is a great way to meet and make new friends. I have experience working with children in Primary schools (teaching sports activities) and have always taught skateboarding, either to friends who are interested or giving tips to someone learning at my local skatepark. It is incredible how fast people take to the sport and is a joy to watch an interest turn into a new passion!

Skateboarding is a lot of fun, it can seem intimidating at first, but a lot of the time all you need is a little push and a hand!
Every lesson will be unique and completely tailored to you.
Feeling comfortable on the board and knowing basic safety technique is paramount to your beginnings in skateboarding.
Once this is covered, I will discuss with the student what aims and expectations they have for skateboarding and what route would best suit their learning process. Introducing aspects of skate culture and history will also go towards providing an all encompassing view of what skateboarding is and can be.
I am experienced with working with kids and adults alike.
I'm friendly, easy going, and whatever you feel you need to improve on in skateboarding we can do together.
