About Alexa
I am a certified K–7 teacher with over 8 years of experience in the classroom and tutoring. I’m passionate about helping children build confidence in reading, literacy, and math. Outside of teaching, I love spending time outdoors, reading a good book, and playing with my dog. I bring patience, creativity, and positivity to every lesson, making learning both meaningful and enjoyable for my students.

I am a certified teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree and a teaching certificate from SFU. I bring 3 years of classroom teaching experience and 5 years of tutoring expertise, helping students from Kindergarten through Grade 7 build confidence and achieve success. I currently teach Grade 3 but have experience in all Grade levels. My specialty is supporting students in reading, literacy, and elementary mathematics through engaging, hands-on lessons that make learning meaningful and enjoyable.
What sets me apart is my ability to adapt lessons to each student’s unique needs and learning style. I focus on strengthening comprehension, problem-solving, and critical thinking, while fostering a positive mindset and genuine love for learning.
Whether your child is developing early reading skills, needs extra support in math, or is ready to be challenged beyond grade level, I provide personalized instruction to help them grow, gain independence, and thrive.
