About Kimberley
Hi, I’m a 28-year-old software engineer and tutor with a soft, student-focused approach to learning. I know from experience that the traditional classroom doesn’t serve everyone equally, which is why I tailor my lessons to meet each learner where they are. I’ve taught Maths up to university level and worked as a lecturer with Code First Girls. I find teaching incredibly rewarding and get deeply invested in my students' progress. I like to keep lessons structured, with clear goals, but always delivered with patience and flexibility. I’m friendly, chatty, and especially passionate about encouraging more girls, women, and non-binary people into Maths and tech. I’m also a bit of a nerd—I genuinely get excited about Maths! When it finally clicked for me, it changed my life. It opened doors, built my confidence, and shaped my career. Now, I love helping others experience that same transformation.

I'm a software engineer offering Maths, Maths Mechanics, and Computing lessons for students from Primary to A-level. My neurodiversity-informed sessions focus on building confidence and self-esteem in Maths by identifying problem areas, working through examples together, and tailoring each lesson to the student’s learning style. I tutor both children and adults, 1:1 or in groups, and can adapt my teaching to suit specific syllabuses, exams, or personal goals. Having struggled with Maths myself until Year 9, I understand how hard it can feel when things don’t click. With the help of a tutor, I went on to score 100% in A-level Maths, study Engineering, and become a software engineer. That journey showed me how powerful the right support can be. I create a calm, encouraging learning environment where mistakes are part of the process and every student is supported to thrive. I believe every brain learns differently, and I teach with that in mind.

I had a great time learning with Kimberley. They were clear, patient and articulate in the way they taught. I never felt nervous to ask a question or query, and left the learning experience confident in my skills and excited to progress more! Can't recommend them enough.
