About Devangi Purkayastha

A technophile and an avid learner, I'm passionate about building impactful software besides having a proclivity towards teaching. My forté lies in my ability to communicate well and actively teach unfamiliar topics, learn as well as teach new skills with discipline and enthusiasm.
Presently, I work as a Computer Science Engineer at VMWare.

About the lesson

- I believe concepts are retained better with examples, illustrations, flowcharts and diagrams. Learning by writing, drawing flowcharts, practising and doing is something that has always worked for me and is something I encourage everyone to follow as well.
- The usual structure of a class would depend on the learner's pre-existing knowledge of the topic and could be anything from bare basics to advanced topics.
- It doesn't matter how many times I have to repeat a topic or concept as long as the learner is able to explain it in layman's terms to a 6th grader at the end of the class. It is understood that not everybody learns at the same speed, but everyone's capable of learning if they have the interest to learn and a good instructor to guide them.
- Comfortable with teaching school, high school or college students
