About Loïc

I'm currently working full time as a Software Engineering Team Lead in the UK. I have 13 years of professional experience in software engineering (Node.JS, Java, Ruby, C#, Python, SQL...) and cloud infrastructure (DevOps practices, AWS, Terraform...). I obtained a master degree in Computer Science and a master of research in computer security. I have worked in France, UK, China and India for different companies, always in a very international context using agile methodologies. I also have good experience in teaching and mentoring engineers, beginners or more experienced.

About the lesson

Lessons are well balanced between theory, examples and hands-on programming. I will be first looking to understand what you are looking to learn or improve, ask questions about your experience (if any), and suggests a learning plan. If you're happy with it, then we'll crack on.

I've been teaching and mentoring students and professionals for several years. I was a trainer at Thoughtworks University, mentor at Code Your Future and I'm leading team of engineers in my day to day job. I have experience teaching to complete beginners or more experienced people, so the lesson will be tailored to you.

I can teach a large range of topics, adapted to all levels:
- Introduction to programming (how to start coding, frontend / backend Javascript development, how to build a full web application)
- Coding best practices (how to use Test Driven Development, refactoring, writing secure and clean code)
- Cloud technologies on AWS (Serverless, event-driven architecture, containers)
- Infrastructure as Code with AWS CDK or Terraform
