About Leiya

Hi! I'm a Software Engineering graduate who completed both high school and college in Canada.

Having once been an international student myself, I understand how challenging it can be to adapt to a new education system, especially when learning complex subjects like math. During high school, I enjoyed helping my classmates understand difficult mathematical concepts and improve their academic performance. Those experiences helped me discover how rewarding it is to make learning easier and more approachable for others.

Outside of academics, I enjoy baking, listening to metal music, spending time with animals, and hiking!

I hope to create a welcoming and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable learning, asking questions, and growing at their own pace.

About the lesson

I believe that struggling with math doesn't mean a student isn't capable — sometimes, they just need a different way of understanding it.
My teaching approach focuses on helping students understand the reasoning behind mathematical concepts and formulas, rather than simply memorizing them. Through clear explanations, practical examples, and carefully selected exercises, I encourage students to apply what they've learned and develop strong problem-solving skills.
