About Berta

I'm a qualified teacher from Spain currently living in New Zealand on a working holiday visa. Teaching is my profession and my passion, so I've decided to keep doing what I enjoy while I'm here.

Back in Spain I work as a teacher, so I know how to plan a lesson properly, choose activities at the right level and track your progress step by step. You can count on organized, well-prepared classes where you always know what you're learning and why.

About the lesson

Hola! I'm Berta, and I help people actually speak Spanish, not just study it.

My lessons are practical and focused on real communication. We spend most of our time talking, listening and using the language in situations you'll actually face: traveling, working, meeting people or simply having a conversation with confidence. I can also adapt it to your work specialty if necessary. Grammar is explained when you need it, always with examples, never as a list of rules to memorize.

Every class is 45 minutes max and follows a clear structure:

- A quick warm-up and review of the previous lesson
- A new topic introduced through a short activity (role-play, dialogue, listening or discussion)
- Guided practice where you use the new language straight away
- A short wrap-up with key vocabulary and a summary of what you've learned

You'll always know how you're progressing. At the end of each lesson I give you feedback on what went well and what to work on next, and we regularly review your progress against clear goals so you can see your improvement.

Learners aged 16 and over, from complete beginners to intermediate students. I adapt the pace and content to your level, your interests and your goals.
