About Paloma

Get your own personal native Spanish-speaking tutor and fast-track your learning with tailored one-on-one lessons — fun, practical, and designed around your goals.

I teach:

- English for Spanish speakers (all levels)
- Spanish for English speakers (all levels)
- Mandarin for English and Spanish speakers (beginner- intermediate)

Born in Peru and having lived in Spain and over 10 other Spanish-speaking countries, I bring an authentic, global understanding of the language — from Latin American expressions to European accents.

With extensive experience teaching English speakers in Australia and Mandarin speakers in China, I know how to adapt lessons to different language backgrounds.

I also teach Mandarin Chinese, a language I mastered after living, working, and studying in China for several years. My experience there allows me to teach not only grammar and pronunciation but also the cultural nuances that make the language come alive.

In addition, I’m a native-level English speaker after living and working in Australia, where I developed deep experience teaching and communicating with people from diverse backgrounds.

Combined, these international experiences amount to over 14 years of global teaching and cultural immersion, allowing me to connect with students from all over the world and adapt lessons to their specific linguistic needs.

My classes focus on real communication, natural pronunciation, and cultural insight — not just grammar.

• Survival Spanish for travellers, plus local advice for Spain or Latin America

About the lesson

Lesson prices range from USD 15 to 40 per hour, depending on your level and the language you wish to learn:

• Beginners: USD 15/hour
• Intermediate: USD 25/hour
• Advanced: USD 40/hour (includes fluency coaching, deeper content, and cultural insight).

Spanish is the cheapest 15usd - 40usd / hr
English 20 usd - 50 usd / hr - which can include preparation for the IELTS, TOEFL, PTE (exams I have successfully completed).
Mandarin 30usd - 60usd / hour, focus on vocabulary and HSK (1-3) prep.

The first lesson is used to evaluate your current level, understand your goals, and design a personalised study plan that fits your needs.

I use the Communicative Method, focused on real-life Spanish — not memorisation.

You’ll speak and think in Spanish from the first class, building confidence and fluency through natural interaction.

Lessons are fully tailored to your goals and interests, covering topics such as culture, travel, art, business, and current affairs.

If you’re located in Cusco, Peru, you’ll also have access to personalised travel advice and the chance to practise Spanish in real-life situations — visiting local places, markets, or cultural spots together.

Through my work in hospitality and international cultural media, I can also guide you to authentic, high-quality experiences in Cusco — helping you connect with the language and the culture on a deeper level.
