About Ashley

My name is Ash and I’m from London. Both my parents were teachers and I have been a teacher of Spanish and French for 16 years in schools in the UK; I enjoy sports, reading, travel and spending time with my family. I really enjoy teaching Spanish (& French) having learnt the language when I was younger, at university and beyond. I have travelled in South America and studied Portuguese at university too, living with a family in Brazil. I know what it is like to learn from being a beginner (when I first started learning the language). I have lots of experience teaching beginners, as well as in GCSE and A-level student and enjoy seeing students progress. It does not matter what your level of Spanish is, I can help you improve!

About the lesson

I've been a teacher of Spanish (and French) for 16 years; I have a PGCE (UK teaching qualification) in Spanish and French from the Institute of Education (London) and a languages university degree (BA Hons).
I've been teaching students from ages of 8-18, as well as adults.
I really enjoy teaching Spanish having learnt the language when I was younger, at university and beyond.
I enjoy planning lessons to suit the needs of my student and motivating them to progress, as well as building confidence
I focus on listening, reading, speaking and writing skills, as well as specific elements of grammar and have numerous resources to share. I can tailor lesson to help you learn, according to your goals. I can offer lessons of 30 minutes to 1 hour in duration.
I will help you improve your general conversation and focus on a wide range of topics in real life situations
I have lots of experience teaching beginners, as well as in GCSE and A-level and enjoy seeing students improve, no matter what your level of Spanish.
I’m looking forward to working with you and booking a trial lesson.
