About Marco

🟩 Ciao a tutti! (Hello everyone!) I'm Marco, a passioned and enthusiastic Italian professor. I hope you'll consider to learn that lovely language maybe to understand Italian culture, for your studies or to live in Italy.

Over a seven-year period, I studied Philosophy and Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, earning two Bachelor's degrees, in Sacred Theology and in Philosophy. I am currently pursuing a double Master’s degree in Philosophy at the same university and simultaneously at the State University of Perugia (Umbria, Italy). Additionally, I spent a year as a guest student attending lectures in Dogmatics at the Theological Faculty of Central Italy in Florence.

I have devoted many years to my linguistic and cultural growth, as well as Italian elocution. I have lived in various cities in Italy (Albano Laziale, Rome, Florence, Pavia, ...) which has served as a school for broadening my cultural, social, and human horizons. It allowed me to observe how the Italian language varies across regions, all of which I have visited. This fascination extends to playing with the sounds of various local or national dialectal accents. You might wonder, what is the relevance of this to language study? The practical use of language is fundamental to better understanding and navigating various life contexts, be they professional, educational, or work-related.

I’m currently living in an international community in Rome with 25 other people. It’s a valuable opportunity for personal growth every day.

In the last eleven years, I have had the opportunity to volunteer abroad, in Italy, and in my region, Sicily, interacting with individuals from diverse nationalities worldwide. Many approached me without speaking Italian, and through other common languages, we learned Italian together. There were individuals, heads of households, who had been working in Italy for several years without speaking Italian and wished to improve. Others, unable to afford an Italian course, sought a helping hand for free, and they were never denied this opportunity, precisely in a humanitarian context.

Now, this is an opportunity for me to begin receiving support to achieve autonomy and personal economic sustenance. I do this by leveraging the competencies and areas that I love and that inspire me the most.
