About Kurban

I have a BA Philosophy degree from Nottingham University, and an MA Film Producing from the world renowned National Film and Television School. I love teaching 11+ Maths and English, and have a wide range of knowledge of other subjects studied to GCSE and beyond including English, History and Mathematics. I am able to teach a range of arts based subjects too, at various levels, including drama and creative writing. I also enjoy teaching school entrance preparation. Building a rapport with my students is very important to me. So if you wish to discuss your situation prior to booking lessons I would be very happy to arrange a call as part of a 'no-strings' initial consultation. I am a professional film producer and MA film tutor at two universities, and have recently made the black comedy feature "The Party" with an all-star cast, which was released in cinemas in October 2017, and "The Pass" which is now showing on Netflix. Perfect! Fantastic tutor four 11+ student

In particular, he has an intimate understanding of entrance requirements for competitive schools such as St Paul's, Westminster and KCS Wimbledon. The success rate for his students applying to these schools is very impressive indeed. He can also cover interview preparation and verbal and non verbal reasoning for all aspects of the 11 plus.
As a successful, professional film maker, he can also teach drama and film production across a range of ages. His drama workshops are particularly impressive for building confidence and interpersonal skills: key attributes for the 11 plus and beyond.
In addition to working with younger pupils, he has a strong track record in GCSE Maths and English - all of his pupils have secured a minimum of a B grade with many attaining A or A*.
