About Chun Hin
I began my career as a secondary school music teacher and have since moved into SEN (Special Educational Needs) provision, taking on increasing responsibility for supporting SEN students within a school setting. Alongside this, I have built up considerable experience in private tuition, working with children at Bury Grammar School, several other top-ranking private schools, and Oxford International College.
Having attended private school myself, I understand first-hand the standards and expectations of independent education. I hold three university degrees, including a PGCE, a degree in Music, and a foundation degree in Business Management, and I currently work at a leading independent school recognised globally for both academic excellence and sporting achievement.
Beyond teaching, I am an entrepreneur, a classically trained musician, and a wine specialist, bringing a broad and varied perspective to my work with students. I am passionate about inspiring confidence and curiosity in the young people I teach, and about helping them achieve their full potential.

This lesson is built around encouraging students to question and explore rather than simply memorise. The focus areas are:
Cultivating curiosity — students are prompted to ask "why?" and "how?" throughout, rather than just receiving answers. Questions are treated as a sign of good thinking, not a disruption.
Positive reinforcement — frequent small rewards (stickers, points, praise, class shout-outs) to keep motivation high and celebrate effort, not just correct answers.
Light use of the whiteboard — kept brief and visual, used mainly to anchor key ideas rather than for long explanations, so it doesn't dominate the lesson.
Game-based learning activities — concepts are reinforced through short games, challenges, or friendly competitions, making practice feel like play rather than repetition.
Fun, energetic pace — lots of movement, interaction, and variety to keep attention and enjoyment high throughout.
