About Emily
Hi! I'm Emily, I'm a fitness coach and personal trainer with a background in sport science that I love sharing with students. I hold an MSc in Sport Physiology and a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science, giving me a strong grounding in the "why" behind training, performance, and the body's response to exercise, not just the theory, but how to apply it practically.
I currently work as a hiking instructor and coach, and I bring the same hands-on, encouraging approach to tutoring: breaking down complex physiology (energy systems, thermoregulation, exercise testing, training adaptations) into clear, digestible concepts. Whether you're prepping for exams, working on a dissertation, or just want to understand exercise science better, I'll tailor sessions to your level and goals.

My teaching style is clear and example-driven. Sport science and biology can feel abstract on paper, so I bring in real physiological examples and coaching experience to make ideas click. I'm currently deep in dissertation research on exercise physiology, so I stay close to current evidence-based practice and enjoy passing that on in a way that's straightforward, not overwhelming.
