About Shawn

Hi, I’m Shawn—a guitar player, singer-songwriter, and audio-engineer/producer with over 20 years of hands-on experience making music. I studied Independent Music Production at Seneca Polytechnic and have recorded, performed, and created across multiple genres. My teaching style is relaxed, supportive, and focused on helping you build confidence with real skills you can use right away. I believe music should be accessible, creative, and personal, and I’m here to help you start your journey, no matter your age or background.

About the lesson

Whether you're a complete beginner, someone picking the guitar back up, or just looking for a new creative outlet, these lessons are designed for you. My goal is to help you learn in a relaxed, encouraging environment—no pressure, no judgment, just real progress at your pace. We'll cover the essentials like chords, strumming, rhythm, and basic technique, while working toward playing real songs you enjoy. With over 20 years of playing, songwriting, and studio experience, I focus on making music approachable, fun, and rewarding for students of all ages. If you've always wanted to play guitar but didn’t know where to start, now’s the time.
