About Junia

I’m a guitar tutor with over 5 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Guitar Performance. I design lessons to fit each student’s goals, from beginners exploring the guitar to advanced players pursuing blues mastery. My focus is on slide guitar, open tunings, and fingerpicking techniques. I’ve taught students across multiple regional blues traditions, including Delta, Chicago, and Piedmont. Lessons combine technical skill, musicality, and expressive playing, all in a supportive and motivating environment. I break down complex techniques into accessible steps while keeping the lessons fun and engaging. You’ll learn to play authentically, capturing the emotion and feel that define blues music. We focus on repertoire, improvisation, and finding your own voice on the guitar. My goal is to help you gain confidence and develop a style that is uniquely yours. Whether playing for personal enjoyment or performance, every lesson is designed to help you progress. I love helping students connect with the soul and heritage of the blues. About the lesson

My lessons emphasize adapting techniques to achieve different sounds and moods. I work with teenage rebels and recording artists to help them discover new musical avenues.
