About Ilyes

I am a first-year student at UCL, studying Statistics with Economics and Finance, with a strong passion for both learning and teaching mathematics. I enjoy helping students build confidence in maths by developing a clear and intuitive understanding of concepts. I have always enjoyed the subject of Maths and want to spread the lessons I have learnt in my journey to get the grades that I achieved. I have received Gold awards in multiple UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) competitions and progressed to follow-up rounds, I began tutoring two years ago and have experience teaching students from Primary through to A-level. I adapt my lessons to suit each student’s ability and goals, creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves.

About the lesson

I take a holistic approach to tutoring, focusing on each student’s individual goals—whether that’s achieving a specific grade or gaining confidence in a particular topic. Lessons are 1 hour long, though I’m happy to go slightly over when needed to ensure we cover everything thoroughly and students leave with a strong understanding. I have 200+ hours of tutoring experience and can provide recommendations from past students upon request. Qualifications: A*'s in GCSE Maths, Further Maths, and Physics A*/A's in A-Level Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, achieved with the highest recorded grade boundaries I tutor students of all ages up to A-Level, adapting my teaching style to suit each learner’s needs and ability.
