About Dhruv

My name is Dhruv and I am offering online and in-person tuition from 11+ up to GCSE level. I graduated from Queen Elizabeth’s School last year and in 2015, was accepted by all 7 other schools I applied for. This has given me a thorough understanding of the process of applying and acing those tricky 11+ exams. I firmly believe that exam proficiency is not determined by natural ability. The true key to success lies in diligent practice and a deep understanding of exam technique. When you choose me as your tutor, you can expect nothing less than the highest of standards with my students needing to complete at least 2-3 hours of set work each week. I am flexible on teaching in-person or online and willing to offer a free first trial lesson so your son/daughter can see if they enjoy my teaching style. I currently attend Imperial College London, which has been recognised as the 2nd best university in the world (QS Top Universities World Rankings 2025) and I am also Enhanced DBS cleared so fully qualified to teach.

About the lesson

A typical lesson would last 60-120 mins and be conducted online or in person depending on location and availability. I welcome all students between the ages of 8-11 that are looking to study at their dream school. My lessons are catered to each and every student and target specific weak areas of study based on an initial consultation. A lesson would start with a look at any questions or papers completed during the previous week and go over corrections. Then I can either assist with a specific topic that is particularly weak or give further materials to complete under my supervision. I end with a quick maths or English puzzle to remind students that learning is fun. My style of teaching is incredibly rigorous and requires at least 2-3 hours of homework to be completed by the student each week and a general interest in learning.
