About Anas
Hiya, I'm Anas a recent A-Level exam taker. I specialise in tutoring Maths & Physics. Having experienced the difficulties of exams first-hand and tutored some classmates during my studies, I have learnt the importance of building a strong understanding by breaking down challenging topics and developing exam technique. Every lesson is tailored to a student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. My goal is to ensure the student can keep up in class by building on what they've learnt, identifying misconceptions, and reinforcing old content with active recall to build their long-term memory. My approach develops confidence and creates a well-rounded student that's prepared to achieve their best potential in exams.
Lessons are usually carried out in one hour sessions tailored to the student's exam boards and individual needs. Students are encouraged to prepare work/questions or share topics they need help with beforehand making each lesson as effective as possible. At the start of each lesson, I introduce the topic and explain the bigger picture showing any synoptic links. During the lesson we will work through the content where key concepts and methods are explained with a focus of understanding rather than memorisation. Throughout the lesson I will highlight common mistakes made and tricks examiners use to confuse students to develop confidence and exam technique. For students taking multiple sessions, I add regular review of old topics to strengthen long-term memory and fill in any gaps in knowledge.
