About Cassandra
At my university I have helped out in the beginner Japanese classes as an assistant teacher. I have tutored my friend in beginner's Japanese and helped her with post-beginner and intermediate material, as well as people at my host university in Japan who were in the beginner class.

I have been studying Japanese for the past 3 years and spent the last year living in Osaka, Japan as an exchange student. I am confident in all Beginner level material and I have worked with new Japanese learners before.
I will use the Genki 1 textbook, which I also used as a Beginner student. I expect my students to learn the writing systems of Japanese as it makes learning easier, but I will help you with this. You do not have to have any Japanese experience, just enthusiasm to learn and commitment to the language. The textbook is expensive but I will provide print outs of the lesson material, or PDFs for online learning.
I can also teach basic travel phrases for anyone who is visiting Japan and wants some survival Japanese for their time there.
I am and enthusiastic and energetic person who is very passionate about language learning and Japanese. I believe anyone can learn a language if they want to.
