About Ali
I am a Doctoral student in Education at OISE, University of Toronto and have completed graduate degrees in Education at Stanford University, Business Studies from ESCP, France and Math, Stat and Economics from Warwick University, U.K. Basically, I know my way around Academia.
I am writing my thesis on the politics of writing and think a lot about how one can bring their own unique style to it. I draw a lot on the mystique and sacralization of writing and inculcate this in my students. One can be a poet and an Academic writer at the same time - and yes, it is learnt; one is not born with it.

I help you navigate the writing part of getting your way around Academia. Whether it is writing cover letters, term papers or thesis preparation. As a doctoral student in Education at the University of Toronto, I study the philosophy of reading and writing.
My job is to bring the best out of you, whether it is figuring out how to convince an admissions committee, write an argumentative paper or a creative one. As a student of the philosophy of writing, I try to bring out what is unique about your writing style.
I teach students in any discipline who are entering or making their way through higher education. I study writing and take my inspiration from long forgotten techniques from the 16th century to the present.
