About Adam
I am a dedicated student studying physics and maths at university, and my love for these subjects drives me to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with others. I'm excited t help students in STEM and develop their problem-solving.
In my spare time I love running, and I'm part of my university team. Running helps me to stay disciplined and I feel I can apply what I learn through running in my studies and teaching others.

Hi there! My name's Adam and I'm from Belfast. I'm currently a student at the University of Cambridge, studying Physical Natural Sciences, so I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for STEM subjects. I have a solid foundation, as I've achieved 4 A*s at A-Level in Further Maths, Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
My teaching style is encouraging, patient and tailored to each individual student, listening to what they want to cover. I believe in curating a supportive learning environment where students feel able to ask questions and explore their curiosity. My experience in the STEM Smart program as a tutor allowed me to develop effective strategies at breaking down complex concepts into small steps and creating confidence in problem-solving. During the STEM Smart program I also helped sixth form students prepare for university life and help with their personal statements, which is a difficult challenge for students and I am glad I was a great benefit to them.
I like to think I'm particularly skilled at explaining difficult concepts in a clear and understandable way, using real-world examples of the uses of the topic and analogies to make learning more useful and engaging. I also enjoy helping students develop their critical thinking skills, which are essential for success in STEM.
