"You might assume that reading sheet music is the first step, but we begin by focusing on the physical sensation of the instrument. I provide recorded playback of tricky passages for home practice to assist your memory between sessions. This method is particularly effective for adults and kids aiming for grade exams. My background at the Conservatoire allows me to break down complex repertoire into achievable fragments.

"Shifting positions and double stops require a blend of technical discipline and physical grace. I rely on my MMus training to analyze tone production and bowing technique for every student.
Through 132 students taught in 8 years, I have seen how ear training and rhythm influence musicality. I integrate scales and arpeggios into a framework that honors the complexity of the violin.
Tuning by ear is a skill I emphasize early to sharpen listening capabilities. My personal narrative as a Conservatoire trained violinist shapes how I guide students through music theory.
