About Howard
Rigorous technique is the foundation of artistic freedom. I confess that I am obsessed with the details of strumming patterns and lead guitar articulation. We will tackle ear training and reading sheet music with a clear, systematic plan.
I provide a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum high. This is crucial for working professionals. My Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto Faculty of Music gives me the tools to guide any level of learner. You will find that these structured sessions make progress inevitable.

Playing in the Montreal Symphony Orchestra keeps my ears sharp and my standards high. I need you to understand that structure is the secret to guitar mastery. I earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto Faculty of Music. My 13 years of experience cover everything from power chords to complex electric technique.
I have taught 116 students who wanted to bridge the gap between hobbyist playing and professional results. I incorporate ORFF and Kodály methodology to keep our rhythm training precise. You will find my approach rigorous but deeply supportive.
