About Amber
I’ve been teaching swimming since 2010, guiding hundreds of learners—from fearful beginners to senior citizens and competitive athletes. I have coached high school swim teams and neighbourhood learners. What sets me apart is my combination of a coach’s precision and a teacher’s patience. Drawing from my experience, I explain concepts clearly and adapt lessons to accommodate different learning styles, ensuring every swimmer can progress confidently and effectively.

My lessons are designed to meet swimmers exactly where they are. Each session begins with a check-in to set individual goals, followed by a warm-up to build comfort and confidence in the water. From there, I introduce focused drills that break skills into simple, manageable steps, giving students time to practise and master each technique. I teach using clear demonstrations, hands-on guidance when needed, and positive reinforcement to celebrate progress.
Lessons are tailored for beginners learning water safety, recreational swimmers refining their strokes, competitive athletes improving performance, and adults seeking fitness or confidence in the water. I also specialise in trauma-informed and neurodiverse-friendly instruction, ensuring swimmers of all abilities feel safe and supported.
